Taking the initiative to ask is a good start on a potentially good answer. I would greatly appreciate it. How long does a typical painting take? A time span from start to finish can range from a straight week, to over a month. How long have you been painting? I began painting in the end of Summer, 2005. I was doing a bunch of digital abstract works and someone had mentioned that it could be interesting to be able to feel what the works looked like. So I sought out ideas for materials to make asbtract paintings reflecting some of my textured works. It was well recieved and each piece fueled the desire to do another. What inspires your paintings? Possibly the broadest question with an equally broad answer. Anywhere from music, to photos i've taken of textures.. emotions, people. Life's experiences are the some of the best influences for my work. What mediums do you use? Generally I use tile glue, acrylics, inks, salt, ashes, sand, spraypaints, paper, cloth, and canvas.
